MOSCOW, November 17 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow police have detained "a telephone terrorist" who called police saying that her daughter is one of the Shakhid followers and that she intended to blow up a flight at Domodedovo airport in Moscow, Press service Chief of the Interior transport Department of the Central Federal District Tatyana Agapova told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
The woman had called an Interior department at Domodedovo, declaring her daughter intended to blow up a flight to Morocco, Agapova said.
Agents of the airport Interior department jointly with aviation security agents made the necessary checks and search operations and tightened control of passengers entering the airport premises. The security service managed to identify the telephone number from which the call was put through, the spokeswoman said. Thanks to the latest technologies the name and address of the caller were established.
A 56- year-old woman, a resident of the city of Yaroslavl, confessed to provoking a bomb threat. She explained the incident was a result of a domestic quarrel. Her daughter fell in love with a citizen of Morocco and wanted to marry him and leave Russia. Her mother was categorically against her daughter marrying a foreigner and leaving Russia. The mother planned a trick to take her daughter off board.
The investigation has been verifying facts pending decision on opening a criminal case.
